Trammell Crow Company and Seavest Healthcare Properties project at White Oak awarded HREI Insights Award for “Best New Medical Office Building and Other Outpatient Facility over 100,000 sf”

SILVER SPRING, Md., and WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Dec. 16,2020 – Leading healthcare real estate publication, Healthcare Real Estate Insights (HREI), announced that the Medical Pavilion at White Oak has won the 2020 HREI Insights Award for the “Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (100,000 square feet or more)” category.

The unique partnership between Seavest Healthcare Properties LLC, Trammell Crow Company and Adventist HealthCare has brought this major new medical pavilion and cancer center to an emerging healthcare and life sciences hub near Washington, D.C.

The new 169,000-square-foot Medical Pavilion at White Oak is part of the new Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Pavilion offers multiple, convenient connections to the new 180-room hospital that opened this summer. The hospital and outpatient medical pavilion bring an interconnected and collaborative world-class medical complex to the emerging White Oak Science Gateway and thriving White Oak mixed-use development.

The seven-story medical pavilion, which is located at 11886 Healing Way, is anchored by Adventist HealthCare and hospital-affiliated oncology practices. The facility houses both medical and radiological oncology services in a highly advanced cancer treatment setting. The building is also home to a wide range of other medical specialists.

Trammell Crow Company is the developer of the building and has been involved in a multi-year journey with the hospital as the project took shape.

“The HREI Award judges praised Trammell Crow and Seavest for “impressive coordination with timelines to align with the hospital opening,” said Murray Wolf from HREI.

Trammell Crow and Seavest also received two NAIOP DC|MD awards for their work at White Oak: “Best Suburban Office” and “Best Real Estate Transaction Tenant Lease over 25,001 Square Feet.”
