JACKSONVILLE, FL., and WHITE PLAINS, NY., July 24, 2023 – Rethink Healthcare Real Estate (“Rethink”), the White Plains and New York City based investment management firm (fka Seavest Healthcare Properties), announced the opening of three state-of-the-art Emergency Department & Urgent Care (ED/UC) Facilities in Jacksonville, Florida. Rethink partnered with Rendina Healthcare Real Estate (“Rendina”) to develop the three single-story, free standing emergency room and urgent care facilities.
The facilities operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offer a comprehensive range of services to address a variety of healthcare needs, from minor injuries and illnesses to more severe or life-threatening conditions. Purpose built for, and operated by UF Health and Intuitive Health, the facilities contain advanced diagnostic equipment, including X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound machines, and laboratory services that allow for prompt evaluation and diagnosis of various medical conditions.
These facilities streamline patient care by providing patients with emergency or urgent care as called for by the patient’s condition as diagnosed by board-certified physicians. This approach reduces unnecessary charges and increases patient satisfaction.
The UF Health Emergency and Urgent Care Center – Baymeadows opened on March 7th, the ED/UC Dunn location opened on April 6th, and the ED/UC Lane location opened on April 18th.

The UF Health Emergency and Urgent Care Centers offer a unique solution that eliminates the need for patients to choose between visiting an ER or an urgent care by providing a convenient location that offers both, according to Intuitive Health. All patients are examined and cared for by emergency medicine specialists to determine the appropriate level of care, emergent or non-emergent. Patients then are billed only for the level of care needed.
The properties are located at 11251 Lamb Tail Lane, 11277 New Kings Road, and 888 Lane Avenue South in Jacksonville, Florida. All three ER and urgent care centers provide services 24/7.
UF Health Emergency and Urgent Care is in-network with most major insurance plans, including all Medicare plans.
